If you’re interested in creating multiple sources of income, you’re a very wise person. The key to creating a life without money fears is not only to develop these sources of income, but to find ways to make them passive so they continue working for you even when you aren’t working.

This is a lesson I discovered a few years back when my work life changed considerably due to a life-threatening illness.

My name is Dr. Ron Daulton, Jr. and my story related to this actually started in 2006. I became a chiropractor in 2000, and I was very fortunate to be able to work with my family after graduating from college.

By 2005, I was very successful in my practice, and because of that, I was asked to become a national speaker and a coach for a chiropractic practice management company. Basically, I would see patients 40 hours a week, consult with doctors one-on-one another 20 hours a week, and then about 30 weekends a year I would travel and speak at seminars.

Everything seemed to be going well for me, until the end of 2006 when I developed some very serious health issues. I had developed symptoms like high blood pressure, dizziness, extreme exhaustion, chest pains and numbness in my left arm. I thought I was experiencing a heart attack.

So, I went to my doctor, and she did some testing and discovered that I was not experiencing a heart attack (thank God), but my body was slowly dying because I had developed a very severe type of sleep apnea. At the time, the doctors told me that if they hadn’t caught the problem, I would have died in a month because I wasn’t breathing while I was sleeping.

Because of this, I had to quit the speaking job (which meant that my income was instantly cut in half), and I had to cut back my hours in the clinic (which meant that I lost about half of that income also).

I thought I was creating “multiple sources of income” by working these 2 jobs, but I quickly learned that if you’re working a job that requires you to be there in order to earn income, it could be gone in a heartbeat. I had to find out how to develop PASSIVE sources of income.

This led me to Robert G. Allen’s course on creating Multiple Streams of Income. What I learned there was invaluable, and it started me on a new path – I learned about all of the different ways a person could create passive income, and it just happened that one of those methods fit me very well.

I started to learn how to develop internet businesses, which has proven to be a great way to earn income passively. Although this was my choice, there are so many options available to you that you can easily discover methods of creating passive income that work for you.
