Recycling your Used Baby Items with Baby Earth
Tuesday, September 9, 2008 16:09BabyEarth is a first of its kind baby products company. It produces eco-friendly, organic items that range from toys and clothing to accessories like strollers and prams.
There is no denying the latest fad: going green. But believe it or not, it’s not just a fashion statement for most. Buying organics means being a conscientious parent and a more responsible citizen, caring for the world around you. It stands for putting away cynicism for once and opening our eyes to reality, making the right long-term decisions.
BabyEarth educates their customers about the importance of becoming organically aware. They prohibit the use of harmful elements and chemicals in their products some of which include Bisphenol-A, lead, PVCs, Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) and Phthalates.
The BabyEarth recycling program is quite simple. They encourage their customers to return their used baby junk like car seats, strollers and high-chairs which they then disassemble to recycle. All the parts from the items that are still usable are sent to recycling centers that make the most of them. For example they might use the foam and plastic from these products as building materials. Still usable fabric is sent to third world countries. Any item that is still in a reasonable condition is given away to a needy family.
The BabyEarth recycling program is an excellent step in the direction of creating a better environment. Instead of filling dumpsters and landfills with what we may consider junk, the same can be used in a way to benefit the entire planet.
