Everyone has probably heard of the wonderful benefits of recycling. We all claim that it is very necessary and useful and that it can save the world but in reality hardly anyone does it. Of course there are many recycling companies which do a lot of invaluable work, but they actually need your help. Here are some facts about recycling that might encourage you to take recycling seriously and responsibly.

• Recycling lowers global warming. If you are interested what recycling has to do with global warming, read the following. Mainly this is about paper recycling. We know that usually paper is made of wood that is got from trees that are being constantly cut down in thousands. Returning back to the first fact about the trees, saving them will help to considerably decrease the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.

• Making products out of raw material is a very energy consuming process. Practice shows that it takes much more energy to create something out of the raw material than to recycle waste into new products. It is a very relevant advantage for now as we constantly have problems with energy resources.

• Landfills are another problem that could be solved with the help of recycling. Landfills are literally hundreds of tons of garbage piled up in the ground, uselessly lying and decaying, emitting poisonous substances into air and soil, poisoning groundwater and taking great areas of land. The advantages of landfills are none. Recycling could help to prevent landfills from further usage and then to gradually clear all of them and free great areas of land and allow the soil to heal itself.

These are only few of the list of reasons for taking recycling seriously. You may consider also greenhouse emissions as the result of burning plastic (which is done in the incineration), littering seas and oceans and all the harm this litter does to the sea habitants, as well as poisonous emissions of paper-, plastic- and metal plants. You, as a wise person, are sure to understand the danger we are all in and the unavoidability of our participation on “saving the world”. Maybe it’s not you and your family who have been littering the Earth for centuries, but you have to accept the fact that separately we may seem innocent, while together we are all to blame.
