Internet is accessed by children all over the world to gain information and knowledge. However, just because it is helpful does not mean that it is not dangerous from time to time.

A very simple tip that goes a long way in ensuring that your child is not accessing pornographic sites is to place the computer at a place that is visited all members of the family. You will always be able to see what they are looking at.

Another option would be to consider software that blocks pornography from coming up on your computer. They can also help you monitor what your child was looking at.

This software will not let certain pages open if they are not appropriate for your child or they have pornographic material on them. Innocent search terms which the child uses, will also be monitored so that it does not lead to harmful pornographic sites opening.
