Survive with wood pellets.
Pleasant sounds have made me arise from my bed almost instantly. What’s this? May be I haven’t awaken yet so there’s no wonder that for the first moment it can be very difficult to estimate a particular situation especially if you are still sleeping. A few seconds I’ve realized that I’ve just awaken to the sound of birds chirruping. I like these sounds. In fact I’ve got used to them for this year. I have been living on this island for one year. I consider one year to be a relatively short period of the Earth time in most cases. But the matter is that time can’t be always perceived as a stable and permanent value. I think almost every person is likely to agree that sometimes time seems to flow too fast or vice verse painfully slow. I can notice this phenomenon every day. And each time I’m greatly astonished when I’m able to be the witness of it. I think that in the nearer future people will learn how to operate time. They will be able to transfer themselves through a greatly distorted time.

OK, I’ve almost lost my thought closely connected with the main topic of our conversation. I’ve just informed you about my living on this island. So let’s get back to this fact. Recently I’ve made a bet. According to this agreement I declare that I’m able to survive on this island for two years. I think it’s not so difficult as it may seem from the first sight. I think that I’m brave and lucky so I’ve got a certain chance to win and get a reward. Being rewarded by 30 000$ is a charming opportunity, I think. I’ve just managed to survive for one year and nothing horrible has happened to me for this period of time. That’s why nothing is going to prevent my reaching this goal.

I have to spend one extra year on this island. So I’d like to introduce my way of life. Of course there’s no a civilization here. I have to be entirely environmentally friendly on this island. As for meals I can get it from numerous trees or just pick up from the ground beneath. I’ve got a rifle so I’m able to hunt. I need some fresh meat every day.

It’s a real paradise in summer. But it can be considered to be the real hell in winter. In winter nature is used to falling asleep. And because of this sleep I’m usually deprived of sufficient warmth of my house. That’s why I need to heat it properly. Last year I used wood logs for heating. But this year I’m going to use wood pellets made by me of sawdust. Thank to that I’ll be able to enjoy a higher combustion efficiency to compare with conventional wood logs. I feel that my reward is approaching me now.

It is truly amazing how talented we are when the time comes to be more well-balanced about energy. The energy crisis that is rumored about pushed lots of people to inventing alternative ways of taking care of energy issues.
