People with normal medical conditions ranging from diabetes to sciatica can now find permanent solutions by sleeping in Adjustable Beds. Just a few years ago, these beds were exclusively used in health care facilities. These days, adjustable beds are found in many homes, and are constructed in every regular size from California king to twin.

One classification of sleep products which is quickly growing is adjustable beds. This is a very reasonable trend, because adjustable beds can provide both comfort and better spine health. If you have ever slept in a hospital and were in a condition to remember the hospital bed, you will be aware of the good reasons for having one at home which you can enjoy when you are not ill.

Adjustable beds have two primary components; the mattress and the base. The base on an adjustable bed is usually quite strong, since most are intended to accommodate nearly 600 pounds. Adjustable beds are offered in several sizes which can comfortably support individuals of all proportions. The mattresses currently being marketed for these beds are either pocket spring mattresses or memory foam mattresses. Adjustable beds are widely found in nursing homes and other health care facilities, and are used in home care settings too. These days, though, adjustable beds are being purchased by perfectly healthy adults who just want a comfortable bed to sleep or watch TV in.

One of the unique characteristics that an Adjustable Bed has is their ability to elevate your head or legs above your heart. Some people have been told to sleep with their head or feet elevated to help them with a medical condition. Most of us, though, should remain flat when sleeping and use the head or feet lift only for ease while relaxing or reading. Sleeping flat will accommodate regular movements during sleep and is better for for your spine.

Different bed accessories or owning one or two adjustable mattresses used to be considered excessive. That is no longer valid. Keeping in mind how busy we are now and how hard we work, a bed which allows us to wind down or eases back or leg pain is really a necessity. If the bed also enables us to watch TV in comparative comfort, that could be a consequence we will have to simply endure.

on top of providing us with a comfortable place to sit or sleep, adjustable beds are normally equipped with a vibrating massage option which is manipulated through use of a hand control mounted to the bed. This option will relax and refresh tired muscles and will put the last touches on the transformation of your bedroom into an oasis of stress relief.

Flex-A-Bed: With one directive from your hand a Flex-A-Bed adjustable bed can give you a comfortable place to find rest and respite from injury, or just let you have a better night’s sleep, by meeting the requirements of your body.

Tempur-Pedic: Your Tempur-Pedic can be modified to hundreds of relaxing positions by just using a button on the wireless remote. As it is in a sitting-up position, the bed will support your shoulders, neck and spine, while keeping you within arm’s reach of your reading lamp with the patented Wallhugger® design. You can then take advantage of a relaxing wave massage or drift away to sleep.
