There are plenty of reasons why one should choose cloth diapers over disposable ones.  Here are 6 for you to consider now.

1)  To start with, using cotton diapers eliminates the use of rash creams and jellies as it is a natural element that does not chafe your baby’s skin.

2)  Cloth diapers last longer. Disposable diapers are made of tiny chemical crystals that convert into spongy gels upon getting wet and are only usable once- for an average of two hours. In comparison a cloth diaper may be used over and over until your baby is toilet trained, which is sure to save you money in the long run.

3)  Using cloth diapers can also make it easier to potty train.  Babies don’t like to feel wet, so the simple reason that they can feel the wetness and become uncomfortable will prompt them to want to use the potty faster.

4)  Research has shown now that there is a possible link between using disposable diapers and infertility in boys.

5)  Cloth diapers have become increasingly easy to use as compared to the times of our mothers. No safety pins or rubber pants are required now as cloth diapers come pre-folded and easy to use diaper covers have become largely available.

6)  Disposable diapers take ages to decompose after being thrown away and therefore cause harm to the environment.
