Simple steps to build any kind of shed you want.

1 – Pick the Ideal Spot

It is obvious and vitally important that you first mark out and measure the exact area and surrounding space you want your new shed to be and make sure to take into consideration to have room around your shed’s location to work with.

2 – Plan the Ideal Shed

Now you know the right size of your perfect shed it is time to sketch an outline of your shed, this wont have to be perfect. Simply include the measurements and dimensions of your shed and any extra features you would like it to have.

A range of plans for sheds can be found online to give you an idea of what is required.

Now take your drawing to your local DIY store who will for a fee or maybe for free put together a professional shed plan for you from your drawing and instruction. They will also provide you with a list of the materials and supplies you will require to build the shed and will detail the various steps of the build process.

3 – Get Your Plan & Resources

Ok now once you are happy with the plan and materials listed simply buy the things you need
Look around for good deals on materials and ask for a quote

Make sure you have all the necessary equipment and materials listed on hand before you commence building.

4 – The Good Stuff Begins

OK, you are equipped and prepared , so the fun part of actually starting to build a storage shed can commence.

Begin by levelling the area surface and lay out your desired foundation, either concrete or wooden plank.

5 – Walls first

To begin building first make the walls, work along with the instructions of your shed plan to the letter and it will be a breeze, quick and easy.

Tips

Have all of your tools and materials to one side with enough room to work and move around freely.

You will find it much easier to build your sheds sides one at a time then slot them into place once ready.
